David Noble, VP Operations

In those early days, they worked out of Mike’s truck, and David knew it was time to go to work when he heard Mike’s diesel engine fire up across the street. He was quickly impressed by Mike’s breadth of knowledge in all aspects of construction and historic preservation. David decided to try to keep the job and get a free education out of the deal.

Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, David has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Anderson University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
David moved to Kentucky in 2007. He met Mike Mitchell the day that he and his wife Sarah closed on their house. Mike happened to be living across the street at the time, and had just started his own construction business. David was looking for work in construction and was hired on the spot as Mitchell Construction’s first employee.

As the company grew, he developed a versatile skill base with specific experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and tile, and a working knowledge of most other aspects of construction.
David considers it an honor to work on 100+ year-old houses. When he tears into a wall that hasn’t seen the light of day in more than a century, he likes to think of the carpenters who originally built the house, and hopes to honor them with his preservation efforts.

David has now mostly retired from the field, and does his work with a laptop and clipboard, running jobs from the administration side. Outside of work, he finds joy and energy in being with his family. He enjoys long walks and watching Kentucky sports alongside his wife, Sarah. Together they enjoy watching their daughter Annie shine on the volleyball court. He’s always looking forward to the next family vacation or backcountry adventure with the guys. He adores his dog Pepper and gets along with the family cats okay.
